Col. Devane Wounded
The Raleigh Standard, March 29, 1865
       WOUNDED
   COL. W. S. DEVANE of Company A, 61st North Carolina Troops, who was badly 
wounded in the neck in the Battle of Bentonsville, is at a private house in 
this City. 



Additional Comments:
Note: Apparently COL. W. S. DEVANE survived this wound as he was among those 
who surrender on 2 May 1865 at Salisbury, N. C.
