L. P. Lashley The Standard of Raleigh, Jan. 6, 1864 DIED, -- Of measles, in Poplar Lawn Hospital, Petersburg, Va. on the 21st day of August, 1863,MR. LUNSFORD P. LASHLEY, in the 21st year of his age. He was a volunteer in Company I, 41st Regiment, North Carolina Cavalry, and was beloved by all his comrades in arms. He has left a widowed mother, a brother and a sister, together with many dear relatives and friends to mourn their loss. His widowed mother and bereaved family visited his grave in Virginia and brought home his remains to the family graveyard, where he now sleeps beside his father.
