The statement first published in the Richmond papers was the correct one. The GENERAL is a native of North Carolina, studied law and obtained license in this State. He, and our present learned CHIEF JUSTICE TAYLOR were admitted to the bar the same day. GENERAL JACKSON sought his fortune in Tennessee, and has pursued it under the happiest auspices.
