SIDNEY S. PERRY, formerly of Raleigh and a native of Wake County, was shot on the 7th ult. at Gainesville, Ala. by COL. J. A. WINSTON. COL. WINSTON surrendered himself to the officers of the law, and at an Examining Court that was held such facts were elicited as induced the Magistrates to discharge him. DR. PERRY was the family Physician of COL. WINSTON and had seduced the wife of his bosom.
