Bledsloe Advocates Ad Valorem Taxation
It will be remembered that M.A. BLEDSOE, ESQ. , the democratic Senator from 
Wake in the last Legislature, advocated the ad valorem mode of taxation; but 
he does not think the change nessarily involves a change of the basis of 
representation or the manner of distributing the common school fund.
