Crews, of this county, was murdered by a young man of this town, (Joseph Potts) on Wednesday evening about dark. Crews and Thos. Potts fought, and Crews bit his underlip entirely off. His brother Jo hearing of it, came out into the street, gathered a large stick, and gave Crews a fatal blow upon the head, so that he expired next morning. I am glad to state that the controversy did not grow out of the election."
