NORTH CAROLINA MEDICAL STUDENTS
-- The number of medical students in attendance [in Richmond, Va.] is 132! 
North Carolina sends 17 and the County of Wake seven of this number. The North 
Carolina delegation consists of THOS. J. PITCHFORD, THOS. L. JONES, and F.J. 
DRAKE of Warren ; Wake sends: ADOLPHEUS E. SMITH; W.H. ROWLAND; JOHN A. 
MCLEAN; A.J. BLANCHARD; JESSE R. FLEMMING; JOHN W. HEARTSFIELD; and W. 
WHITAKER JR. Franklin:  D.L. STONE. Also, WM. HEGGIE, Rockingham; A.J. STONE, 
Wayne; ED D. SNEAD, Johnston; W.W. COGGIN, Halifax, and JAS. C. BAILEY, 
Person.
