Edenton Gazette   Friday, Nov. 25, 1808 November 25, 1808
  -- GOVERNOR WILLIAMS has issued orders to the Adjutant-General of the 
Militia to raide the quoto of 8,071 men, the proportion required of this 
State; and to hold themselves in readiness to march  at a moment's warning. 
The force to be raised in the United States is 100,000 and it is particularly 
desired by the President that a great proportion of the same may consist of 
Volunteers.
