The man who died was Mr. Aycock of Walnut Creek. Mr. Aycock died last Tuesday night from grip and was buried Wednesday afternoon. On yesterday afternoon his wife also died and will be buried today. Mr. Aycock was a farmer and had been living for the past two years or more on a farm belonging to Mr. Newt. Rowlings of this county. Mr. Aycock had leased the farm upon which he worked from Mr. Rowlings for a period of five years and was this year preparing to run a three-horse farm. Nearly two years of his lease remain unexpired. His wife, who had been in feeble health for some time did not long have to bear the pain of separation. She was an estimable woman and was faithful in her duties and attentive to comforts of those whom she loved. She was about fifty years of age at the time of her death and her husband was about fifty five. Mr. Aycock was very substantial and thorough going man. He was a skilful farmer and never failed to make good crops. He was known especially for his honesty and his energy. He was a hard worker and always made good his work and was also a good manager. A man with who he has had repeated business transactions says that he never knew him to fail to come up to his promises.
