The Raleigh Standard, Sept. 14, 1859
   DIED, in this City, on the 5th inst., at the residence of her son-in-law, 
J. M. TANT, MRS. MARTHA CARTER, in the 55th year of her age. MRS. CARTER was a 
strict and pious member of the Presbyterian Church for 40 years.
