Died on Sunday last after a few hours illness, Mrs. Margaret Casso, a lady 
long known and universally esteemed in Raleigh for her sterling worth of 
character. Her loss to her family is unspeakably great and to the society of 
this place deeply felt. Her funeral was attended by a numerous concourse of 
citizens to whom the Rev. Dr. M'Pheeters (of whose church she was a member) 
delivered an impressive discourse.
