RUBY DORIS MEDLIN FOWLER

   FRANKLIN – Ruby Doris Medlin Fowler, 79, of the 700 block of Fairview Drive,
formerly of Wendell, N.C., died April 22, 2007, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
   She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Richmond D. and Myrtle Prince
Medlin.
   Mrs. Fowler was a retired display coordinator with Leggett and Belk department
stores.
   Survivors include her husband of  57 years, Hursell M. Fowler of Franklin;
sister, Elinor M. Liles of Wendell; and several nieces and nephews.
   Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Franklin Baptist Church
with a graveside service to follow at 4 p.m. in the Greenmount Cemetery in Wendell.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Baptist
Church, 208 N. High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
   Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, N.C. is handling
arrangements.
