Friday, Sept. 4, 1818
DIED, by drowning in the Neuse River, near MAJOR HINTON'S new mill seat, a few 
days ago, a young son of MR. SION BROWN. He had gone into the river for the 
purpose of bathing and unfortunately got into a quicksand near the bank, from 
which he was unable to extricate himself.
