Raleigh Minerva
Friday, April 28, 1815
DIED, on Friday morning last, at his residence near Raleigh, CAPT HARDY 
McGUFFEE, aged about 35 years. He was an industrious, honest, and deserving 
citizen; and has been cut off from a tender family in the prime of manhood. On 
Sunday last, the Masonic fraternity of Raleigh performed the solemn services 
of their order at the grave of their departed brother, in the presence of a 
large concourse of his relatives, friends, acquaintances and neighbors; and 
after a funeral discourse had been pronounced by the REV. MR. CRUDUP.
