   -- In this City, on the 18th inst. , REV. THOMAS MURPHY, pastor of the 
Catholic Church of St. Thomas.
   The REV. MR. MURPHY was born in Carlow, Ireland, on the 30th Nov., 1806. He 
was ordained one year later, and diligently labored in Charleston, in 
Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., for more than 30 years.
