Thurs., Dec. 10, 1807
DIED, in Raleigh, on Friday evening last, very suddenly, MR. SAMBOURNE, 
musician. He was remarkably lively in the evening, went to bed apparently 
well. MRS. SAMBOURNE discovered him to groan – she got up and by the time she 
could wake the servant, her husband was a corpse; he appeared to die without a 
struggle. His acquaintance are of opinion that it was a gout in his stomach. 
Besides a wife, he has left two small children, who will be dependant on the 
mother alone, whose means, we fear, are small.
