Edward Duncan Sherron, Sr.
April 25, 1920-October 2, 2010
Smithfield

Edward Duncan Sherron, Sr. of Warsaw, formally of Wake Forest and Raleigh
went home to be with his lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 2, 2010.
Mr. Sherron was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Brantley and
Elizabeth Ray Sherron, his wife, Estelle Raynor Sherron, a granddaughter,
Cheryl Lynn Sherron, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel
of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sanders Chapel Church
Cemetery.

Surviving are his children, Josephine Reess and husband Richard of Moorestown,
NJ, Linda Cagle of Smithfield, Sandra Wollard of Newport News, VA, Thomas (Tom)
Sherron and wife Donna of Smithfield, Edward D. (Buck) Sherron, Jr. and wife
Brenda of Culpepper, VA and Evelyn Carr and husband Jack of Wallace, 15
grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mr. Sherron will be dearly missed
by his family, friends and his beloved, devoted cat "Callie". Mr. Sherron
enjoyed the great outdoors, working in his yard and flowers, with his beloved
"Callie" by his side.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home
and at other times at the home of Tom Sherron.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his devoted caregiver,
Judy Hardison, good friends and neighbors, Priscilla Fields, Deborah Rivenbark,
Durwood and Doris Strickland and to the town of Warsaw public servants; and 
sincere appreciation to Britthaven Nursing Home; Johnston Memorial Center;
both of Smithfield for outstanding care provided Mr. Sherron and family.
