Wake County, NC - Obituary of Elizabeth P. Taylor, 2006

ELIZABETH P. TAYLOR, 92, Raleigh, Nov. 7. 

NOVEMBER 12, 1913 - NOVEMBER 7, 2006

Elizabeth Moring Page Taylor, 92, died peacefully at Mayview Convalescent 
Center on Tuesday. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend and 
will be remembered as a lady who loved her family and friends and will be 
missed by all.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Broughton High School, Saint Mary's College 
and UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Library Science.

In 1942 she was a Wake County Librarian for Olivia Raney Library and drove 
the first Book Mobile around Wake County. She had many interests such as 
reading and playing bridge. She was a member of Highland United Methodist 
Church, the church circle, La Sertoma, DAR and the Woman's Club of Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Burns Taylor, her daughter,
Sue Page Taylor Stover and her brother-in-law, J.B. "Beechie" Gaither.

She is survived by her son, Frank Page Taylor, Sr. and wife, Linda; her 
loving sister, Helen Page Gaither; four grandchildren, Frank Page Taylor, 
Jr. and wife, Kelli, Andra Elizabeth Taylor Harrop and husband, Alan, 
Elizabeth Page Stover Langfahl and husband, Jason and Richard Clark Stover 
and wife, Shanna; seven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Elizabeth's in-home 
care givers of several years, Ida Jackson, Elaine Muir, Patty Green and most 
recently, the staff on Hall 4 at Mayview Convalescent Center for their love, 
support and prayers.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 
St. Mary's Street. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home 
immediately prior to the service.
