Marriage Bond of James Harwood & Rosey Barbee
April 8, 1786
State of North Carolina
Wake County

	Know all men by these presence that we James Harwood and Randal Busley
all of the County and State aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto his 
Excellency Rich’d Caswell, Esquire, Governor and his Trustees in office in the 
Sum of five hundred pounds Current money of the State aforesaid and to which 
payment will and truly to be made we Bind our Selves Jointly Severly and 
firmly By these presence Sealed with our Seals and dated this Eighth day of 
April 1786.

	The Condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas the above
Bounden James Harwood hath this day applyed for and Obtained a License to be 
Joined to Rosey Barbee in the Holy Estate of Matrimony.  Now if therefore 
there be Now Lawfull cause to obstruct this marriage for which this License 
was obtained then the above Obligation to Void Else to Remain  in full force 
and Virtue.  Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of
