            Wake County }

Know all men by these presents that we Jerah Rohds & David Bunch both of
the county and State aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency
Alexander Martin Esquire Governor and his sucessors in office in the sum of
five hundred pounds specie to which payment well and truly to be made we
have ourselves and each of our heirs & jointly and severally firmly by these 
presents sealed with our seal and dated the fifth (5th) day of November A. 
Dom Seventeen hundred and eight four (1784)

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bounden 
Jerah Rohds hath applied for a License to be joined Elizabeth Ferrell in Holy 
Matrimony now therefore if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the Marriage 
for which said License was obtained then the above obligation to be void 
thereto remain in full force and virtue

I Jas. T. Marriott clerk of the court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions for the 
county of Wake do hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of
the Marriage Bond of Jerah Rohds to Elizabeth Ferrell as appears on file
