I Samuel Alston of Wake Forest in the County of Wake and State of North 
Carolina do make and ordain this my last will and teste-ment.

I bequeath to my beloved wife Sa-rah Dawson Alston all the estate, real and 
personal, of whatever description and where-ever situate, of which I may die 
possessed to her, her heirs, assigns, and devises for-ever, having entire 
confidence that she will provide in a proper manner for our chil-dren.

I appoint my said wife Sarah Daw-son Alston executrix of this my last will and 
testament.

Signed with my hand and given under my seal at Wake Forest aforesaid this 
eleventh day of November A. D. 1825
