Term 1852 Recorded in Book C.C. and page 399 In the name of God Amen I Christopher Barbee of the county of Wake and the state of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this 19th November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty make and publish this my Last will and testament in manner following that is to say First I give and bequeath to my wife Frances Barbee all my Land household and Kitchen furniture & stock of all kinds working tool & as long as she lives or widowhood, all the family that is hear now stay on Enjoy the sam priviledge as hear tofore if one should marry they are not allowed to fetch ther Companion in without Concent all around after the death or widder hood of my wife Frances Barbee and all the Girls Leaves this place, I give to my son George Barbee a parcel of Land beging and ening with Henry Megehee Line across the road to Jack Megehee Line then he tanes the home track of land after I want and equal division with all my children and I here by make and ordain my sons Christopher Barbee & Clem S. Barbee Executors of this my Last will and testament Set my Hand and seal the day and year Above written sign in the present of Christopher Barbee his X mark William Hopson Henry William Additional Comments: This Christopher Barbee was the son of Joseph Barbee, who died in Wake county 1830. Christopher was born 20 Nov 1779 and died 30 Nov 1851 in Wake County. Married Frances Jones, bond date 13 Aug 1807. Frances Jones was born 1 Mar 1791 and died 2 Jul 1871. Both Christopher and Frances are buried at the old "Barbee Tavern" in Wake County.
