In the name of God, Amen this twentyeth day of January in the Year of our Lord God one thousand and seven hundred and Ninety One, I Edward Hocutt of Wake County and State of North Carolina being in a low State of Health, but in Perfect Mind and Memory, calling to mind the _________ City of Mankind I therefore ordain this my last Will and Testament, I Recommind my Soul unto God that gave it, and as to my Body I Recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian Like manner at the Direction of my Executors, nothing Doubting but I shall Receive the same at the General Resurrection, as Touching Such WorldlyGoods as it hath pleased God to Bless me with I give and dispose of inform and following manner. In the first place, I give to my son William Hoccott my Land and Plantation whereon I now live to him and his Heirs forever. I give to my Son Edward Hocutt Two Horses, two Cows and Yearlings. I Give my Son Benjamin Hocutt my Young Mare to have her at his arriving to Twelve years of age. I give to my Son Richard Hocutt my Black Horse to have the horse at his rising to the age of Twenty One, I leave my Black Mare to my Executors to raise Colts for my two Sons Henry Hocutt and John Hocutt and then to be disposed of as it ______; and as to the Remained part of my Stock, Houehold Goods and Furniture to be Disposed of as Suits the Executors. I hereby appoint my Son William Hocutt, Edward Hocutt, Richard Hocutt my Executors to this my last will and Testament.
