I, Wesley Heartsfield of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina: being of sound mind and disposing memory. (Thanks be unto God for the same) do hereby make and publish, this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made. Item 1st My will is that all my just debts shall be paid out of any property of which I may die possessed. Item 2nd I have given unto my two sons Jacob A. Heartsfield and Flavius J. Heartsfield all that I intend to give them except in the case of Jacob A. Heartsfield. Item 3rd I give in trust to my son Jacob A. Heartsfield his Executors, Administrators, and their survivors, One third of all my property both personal and real; to be held in trust for my Daughter, Siddie P. Barham; the yearly rents and profits to be paid to her, and at her death the said property is to be equally divided between her children and their heirs. In the event of my Daughter, Siddie P. Barham dieing without bodily heirs the forgoing property is to be equally divided, one half to my Daughter, Alice S. Heartsfield and - - - - - - - [new page] - - - - - - - the other half to the heirs of my Daughter Lucy E. McKay to them and their heirs. Item 4th I give and bequeath to my Daughter Allice S. Heartsfield, one third of my personal propery and one third of my land by survey including the Homestead to her and her heirs forever. Item 5th It is my will and desire that the remaining third of my land and personal property be sold. One half of the proceeds to be paid to the children of Lucy E. McKay, and the other half to my son Jacob A. Heartsfield. I do herby make, constitute, and appoint my son Jacob A. Heartsfield my Executor to this my last will and testament.
