I Richard Massey Sr. of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina being in a good state of health and Sound Judgment and desposing memory- but knowing the Mortality of the human body do make Constitute publish and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form as followeth Item first I Recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the Ground to be decently buried at the Descretion of the Executor— Item my will and desire is that all my Just debts should be first paid— Item I give and bequeth to my beloved wife Judith Massey one Negro woman by the name of Sarah with her increase and two Negro boys by the Name of Daniel and Dick and the Choice of all my horses a good Saddle and bridle one Chest and Trunk two Spinning wheels and two pare of Cotton Cards three Cows and Calves and the third part of all my hogs and Sheep one grate bible one pot and Dutch oven one Skillet and looking glass and all my working tools one Feather bed and all the Furniture appertaining thereto and all my Earthen and glass ware Six Chears two Dishes two Basons (?) two plates all my spoons and all the Ready money I have on hand to be hers and her Heirs forever Item I lend to my beloved wife Judith Massey the land and plantation whereon I now live with all the appertennencess there unto belonging and one Copper Still and all my Casks during her Natural life Item I give and bequeth unto my son John Massey twenty Shillings to be his and his Heirs for Ever Item I give and bequeth unto Patsy Massey wife and Heir of my Son Richard Dec’d twenty Shillings to be hers and her heirs forever Item I give and bequeth unto my Nephew Samuel Massey Son of Richard Dec’d thirty Silver Dollars Item I give and Bequeth unto my two Nephews after the Death of my wife Joshua Brasfield and Richard Massey my land and Still to be Equally divided between them two Item I give and Bequeth unto my four children Henry Massey Samuel Massey Sarah Brasfield and Monicai Olive all the Residue of my Estate not yet Desposed of to be Equally Divided between them four Lastly I do Constitute Nominate and appoint my beloved wife Judith Massey John Brasfield and George Brasfield Executors of this my last and Testament Making void all other wills by me heretofore made.
