North Carolina Archives, Rec 22, page 283 poor quality copy In the name of God Amen I Susannah Nutt of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina being far advanced in age and knowing the uncertainty of Life and _______certainty of death but in my perfect mind and Senses do make publish and proclaim this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows (touit) Item 1st My Soul I commend to God who gave it my body to be buried in a Christian like manner under the direction of my Executor--I give and bequeath unto my Son John Nutt one red Beadstead & bed & furniture to him and his heirs forever----I give to my Son Robert Nutt one blue bedstead bed and furniture and _____ bay Mare to him and his heirs forever. I give to my Grandson John A. Nutt (Son of John) one bedstead bed & furniture to him & his heirs forever. I give to my Grandson Henry Nutt (Son of John) one cow & calf Such a one as he may chose-out of Stock. I give to my Grand Daughter Penny Nutt (Daughter of John) my Side Sadle to her and her heirs forever. I give the balance of my Household & kitchen furniture not already disposed ______ the balance of my Stock of my Knits that I may have _____ cown fadden cotton and any other article of property not heretofore mentioned and disposed of to be equally divided between my Two sons John Nutt & Robert Nutt. I constitute and appoint my Son John Nutt as Executor to this my Last will & Testament and in witness whereof I have herewith Set my hand & Seal this 22 December 1831 In The Presence of her Wm R.
