Wake County, NC - Will of William Rabourn, 1813 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the name of God Amen I William Rabourn of Wake County of the state of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this twenty-eighth day of August in the year of your Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve do make and ordain and publish this to be my last will in manner following. That is to say, first, I give and bequest unto my son JOHN RABOURN a certain tract or parcel of land beginning at the lower corner then the line up the swamp to the mouth of the Rocky Branch then up the said branch to a point past oak then by a line of _______ tract to William Rabourn Jr’s line to a corner hickory then that line ______ to the beginning one hundred and thirty acres more or less. The gray mare’s colt _________ sorrel filly that he had of Liles Jordan’s, two calves, a heifer on his place, one feather bed and furniture, ______. I give and bequeath ______ to my son CHARLES RABOURN a tract of land lying on the east side of Bullalow Swamp beginning a the mouth of the Fall Branch and up said branch to line of ________ _________then up to the _____ Branch then up said branch to Pruitt’s line, then to Hobb’s line and up to William Rabourn’s line and that line west to the swamp and from the swamp to the beginning. One hundred and fifty more or less acres. Bed and furniture, the ______ mare and her two colts. I give and bequeath to my two sons BRYANT and ALLEN RABOURN land and plantation where I now do live and twenty acres along (?) the land of Josiah Raborn’s lands, by the _____ _______and to each of them a feather bed and furniture. Also also a gray mare and her colt to Bryant Raborn and for John Raborn to give Allen Raborn a beast, bridle and one saddle to the value of fifty dollars. I give and bequeath to my daughter AGNESS RABORN one feather bed. I give and bequeath unto my wife MARHTA RABORN _____ _____ horses and black horse. One feather bed and furniture and the land and plantation where on I now do live during her widowhood. I constitute constitute make and ordain my worthy friend Ruben _____ executor and my said wife executrix to this my last will and testament ____ all the use of my tack(?) of all tools all my working tools all ____hold property and all other property to be equally divided at _____ that is not mentioned above. I give and bequeath to my son _____ Raborn Jr. that land and plantation whereon he lives for one ____ and twenty acres more or less.
