John Grant Rencher was born in Drogheda Ireland in 1750. He was educated at the University of Dublin, and was an attorney. John was in the U.S. by 1775, in time to participate in the Revolutionary War in Pennsylvania. He eventually settled in Wake County. RENCHER, JOHN GRANT Will May 1812 p 234 In the name of God amen.
