(Transcribed from Xerox copy of original will, by Sloan Mason) WILL of Thomas ROCHELLE-20 May 1848-Wake co., N.C. In the name of God amen, I Thomas ROCHELL of the county of Wake & State of North Carolina being of sound mind & memory do make and publish this my last will & testament revoking all others. Item 1st-my desire is that after my death that all my just debts shall be paid out of my estate. Item 2nd-I leave to my beloved wife Charity ROCHELLE all my tract of land whereon I now live and all my stock of Every description, house hold & kitchen furniture working tools of every description so long as she lives single & all the crop of every description that may be on hand at that time. Item 3rd-my desire is that after the death or mariage of my wife Charity ROCHELL that my executor sett up all my land and other propperty of every description and sale to the highest bidder an a credit of twelve months the purchaser be required to give bond and good security for the payment and after the collection is made my desire is that the whole amount of my estate be divided equally between my son Edward ROCHELL and my son Allin ROCHELLE.
