I Willie Rogers being in a low state of health and knowing it is appointed once for all men to die, do make, and ordain this my last will and testatment. First, I give and bequeth [sic] my negro man Monday unto my beloved mother Sealah Rogers during her natural life, (words badly scratched and illegible). My negro boy named Lewis I give and bequeath unto Betsy Exele (uncertain of spelling), daughter of Phebe Exele (uncertain of spelling) to her and her heirs forever. The residue of my property I leave to be sold, at the discretion of my Executors and the profits arising after paying my debts I bequeath unto my mother Sealah Rogers during her natural Life, and after her death to be equally divided between Allen Rogers, Berry Rogers, Willis Rogers, Mary Rogers, Tabby Rogers, Rebekah Rogers, & Sarah Rogers, and Aley Banks to them and their Heirs forever. I hearby [sic] constitute and appoint my beloved Brother Allen Rogers and my friend Henry Moring my Executors to this my last will and testament, revoaking [sic] all others declaring this to be my last will and testament in Witness whare [sic] of I have hear [sic] unto set my Hand and seal this 15th of September 1803.
