Wake County, NC - Will & Estate Records - Robert Sharp Sneed, 1841 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Leigh Leonard Smith WILL OF ROBERT SHARPE SNEED County of Wake & State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and of perfect memory and in good health, do this 24th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one make publish this to be my last will and Testament in the following form and manner (to wit)--- First-I lend unto my beloved son John Sneed all the land situated on the north side of a branch running between where I now live and my said son John Sneed's during his natural life and at his death I give the above mentioned land to all his lawful children to them and their heirs forever. 2nd-I lend unto my beloved daughter Sally Acock a parcel of land lying on the north side of the old road adjoining the land of Tryner Pullen Wheeler and the land I lent to my son John Sneed during her natural life and at her death, I give the said land to her children to them and their heirs forever. 3rd-I lend to my daughter Janey Acock all the land on the south side of the old road adjoining the land of Turner Pullen Wheeler and others during her natural life and at her death, I give said land to all her children to them and their heirs forever. It is my will that all my stock, household and kitchen furniture and everything not disclosed of to be sold and the proceed thereof to be equally divided between my three children John Sneed, Sally Acock, & Janey Acock to them and their heirs forever and as for my sons Zachariah T. Sneed, Wm Sneed & Sharp Sneed, together with my daughters Betsy Abbott, Patsey Griffis, Polley Doby and Nancy Hill I have given them all that I ever intend to give them and lastly I hereby appoint my friend Wm B. Durin Executor to this my last will and testament revoking and making all former wills by me made, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by seal in presence of us who ever present at the time of executing the will.
