Wake County, NC - Will of Wyatt Emory, 1864 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ State Of N.C. Wake Co. January 19th 1864 I Wyatt Emory of the State and County above named being in my right mind and finally persuaded that my end is not far distant make this my last will and testament, viz-- 1st. To my beloved wife Eliza Ellen I give and bequeath my entire estate consisting of land negroes horses hogs cattle household and kitchen furniture together with my money bonds accts in (?) all my worldly possessions to the aforesaid Eliza Ellen Emory to have and to hold during her natural life or widowhood. 2nd. At the death or marriage of my wife Eliza Ellen Emory it is my will and desire that my son Franklin Pierce shall have one hundred acres of the Tract of land known as the Davis Tract over and above the balance of my children and then to share equally with my other children in the residue of my property except the land. 3rd. At the death or marriage of my wife it is my will and desire that after the hundred acres of land above disposed of that the residue of my property land excepted be equally divided between my seven children viz. Francis Elizabeth Perry, Armsia Hellen, Mary, Virginia, Franklin Peirce, Luella, Lenora Wyatt to them and their heirs to have to hold forever. Wyatt Emory Signed in the presence of : ? ?
