Warren County, NC - Nathaniel Bell Revolutionary War Pension, 1832 ~~~~~~~~~~ Ruth Bell Chicago, Ill Madam: I have to advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary War pension claim S.32113 it appears that Nathaniel Bell was born March 15, 1755 in Warren County, North Carolina. While a resident of Anson (later Montgomery) County, North Carolina he enlisted April 1, 1776 and served fourteen months as private in Captain Thomas Potts' Company, Colonel Isaac Huger's South Carolina Regiment. He enlisted September 1, 1781 and served two months as private in Captain West Harris' Company, Colonel William Lofton's North Carolina Regiment. He was allowed pension on his application executed September 5, 1832 at which time he was a resident at St. Clair County, Illinois. He died January 17, 1835.
