DRAKE, near Warrenton, on the night of the 16th inst., the REV. CASWELL DRAKE, in the 85th year of his age, having been born on the 18th day of February, 1776, the morning of the day of the battle at Moore's Creek, N. C., between the British and Tory forces on the one side, and the Sons of Liberty on the other, commanded by General Caswell, after whom he was named. He was a minister for more than 50 years. He was Clerk of the County Court of Warren from May Term 1819 to August Term 1833, having that year declined reelection.
