H. Harton were held at Zion M. E. Church on Friday afternoon by her pastor from Virginia and the Rev. M. Y. Self. Many were in attendance. Mrs. Harton had been sick for several weeks before her death on last Wednesday afternoon. During her last illness she requested that Mrs. S. N. Hawks play the organ at the funeral and that Messrs. John H. Fleming and W. E. Burchette sing, "Looking This Way," a song she had learned to love in her girlhood. Mrs. Harton was formerly Miss Sallie Bet Duke. These persons took part in the burial services and the hymns which she had chosen were sung at the church and the grave. Mrs. Harton is survived by her husband and eleven children.
