Death of Mrs. Betsie J. Hayes

This highly esteemed lady departed this life on Thursday the 26th ult., in her 
seventy first year at her son's, Mr. W. J. Hayes in Franklin county and was buried 
in her father's family burying ground. Mrs. Hayes was a sister of Mr. J. B. Jones 
and Mrs. Anna Pritchard and of Mrs. John White late of Warrenton. She was a lady of

the highest christian character and greatly beloved by those who knew her best. 
Slowly but surely the grand and good old people are leaving us. Mrs. Hayes lived to

a ripe old age and died in peace with God and all mankind.
