On Sunday evening the 9th inst. Mrs. Johanna Macon, the affectionate and 
amiable consort of Major John Macon of Warren County, departed this life in 
the 30th year of her age. She was the model of every virtue, the tender mother 
and loving wife. She sympathized with and relieved the indigent and 
distressed. She was a Christian which is a consolation left to her mourning 
friends, as she exchanges the afflictions of this world for the joys of 
Heaven. She has left seven small children.
