DEATH OF A FORMER GRANVILLE MAN

  We learn from a private letter that Mr. E.W. Wilkerson, brother of our esteemed 
county man Mr. James K. Wilkerson, who lives near Dean, died at his home in 
Kentucky on April 2, 1891, after an illness of several months. He leaves a wife 
and six children. He was born in 1850 and was named by the late Dr. P.W. Young. 
Mr. Wilkerson was raised near Oak Hill and left for Kentucky in 1870, where he 
resided until his death.  He paid a visit to his many relatives in Granville, 
Vance and Warren, this state, and Halifax County, Va., in 1884.
