O 39/270 Wife MARGRET ANN EGERTON – lend a life estate in all my land, and at her death to be divided between my four sons JAMES A, EGERTON, BENJAMIN EGERTON, HENRY THOMAS EGERTON, and JOSEPH JOHN EGERTON. Lend wife Negroes Allen, Henderson, Levina, Betsy, Merandy, Perlina, George, and Ransom. Lend wife all stock, etc., and at her death to be divided among my heirs, Son JAMES A. EGERTON – Negro Dick, horse, cow, and a bed he already has received. Son BENJAMIN J. EGERTON – Negro Abner and Elvira, $60, bed, and a horse he has already received. Son HENRY THOMAS EGERTON – Negroes Adam and Ellin and cow and bed. Son JOSEPH JOHN EGERTON – Negroes Caswell and Matilda, bed, cow, etc. Son HENRY THOMAS – my blacksmith shop tools and my cotton gin. Daughter AMANDA APPLEWHITE EGERTON – Negro Emily, colt, bed and 1 boy Edd, and Julie. Daughter CAROLINE G.
