In the Name of God Amen I Joel Harriss of the County of Warrin Do make and
Declare this my last will and Testament In manner and form (Viz) first of all I
bequith my Soul unto the Hand of God hoping and believing A remission of my Sins
by The merits and meditation Jesus Christ and my body I Commit To the Earth to
be buried at the Decretion of my Executors hearafter Mentioned and my Worldly
Estate I Give and Devise as follows.
Item I Lend and bequeath to my Wife Catey all and Every part and percel of my
whole Effects prosessions after my Lawful Debts are paid, to her proper Wright
an title During her Life.
Item I Give and Dispose to my Son David after the Decease of my wife my Tract of
Land on hills Branch to him and his heir for Ever.
Item I Give and Dispose to my son Jones after the Decease of my Wife my Tract of
Land on Greens Branch to him and his heirs for Ever.
Item the Remain of my personal Estate at the decease of my Wife to be Equally
Divided Amongst my suviing Children.
Item I Do nomenate and appoint my Wife Catey and Stephen Marshall Junor
Executors of this Last will and Testament and Do revoke all other wills and
requeats 
In Witness hearof I have hearunto Set my hand and Seal This 28th of December in
the year of hour Lord and Christ 1789.

Warren County February Court 1790
This Last Will & Testament of Joel Harris Dec’d was presented in Court & proved
by the oath of Sam’l a Witness thereto and Catey Harris Executrix of the Dec’d
named in the said will Came into Court and Qualified accordingly to whom Letters
was Granted and the said Executrix whereas an Inventory of the Estate of the
said Dec’d on oath and the same was ordered to be Recorded
