Will of Willie Lancaster - Warren Co. NC Submitted by Nola Duffy WILLIE LANCASTER Will dated June 14, 1861 Recored Will Book U, Page 11 Franklin County, NC. I WILLIE LANCASTER of the county of Franklin and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last Will and Testament manner and form following that is to say First That my Executor shall pay my just debts out of the first monies that may come into their hands as fast or farcd of my estate. Item2 I give and devise to my beloved wife THURSDAY ANN LANCASTER the use of all my land during her life time or widowhood. Also I give her one years support out of the provisions that may be on hand at my death. I give and devise unto her all the household and kitchen furniture except one bed and chest none as may bed and one house her first chois one cow and calf one sow and pigs all to be her first chois. Item 3 I give and devise unto my wife fiftay dollars in money and to SAMUEL H. LANCASTER fiftay dollars in money and to SINTHA PIGRAM wife of ZACHARIAH PIGRAM fiftay dollars in money and to PRECILIA PETMAN wife of MERIOTT PETMAN fiftay dollars in money and to MARY E. DICKINSON wife of WILLIAM DICKINSON fiftay dollars in money. Item 4 My will and devise is all the residue of my estate after taking out the devises and legacies above mentioned Shal be sold and the debts due be collected and if than should be any surplus over and above the payments of debts expenses and legacies that such surplus that be equally divided and paid over to my said wife and all my children in equal proportions share and share alike to them and each and every of them their executors administrators and as signed absolutely forever. Item 5 At the death of my wife or at her marriage the land that I now own shal be sold and the proceeds equally devided among all of my children their executors administrators and assigns and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend PAPON NICHOLS and S. B.
