Martin, of the aforesaid county and state, being of sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last will and testatment: 1st - My beloved wife, Julia J. Martin, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives, and pay all funeral expenses, together with all my just debts, out of the first moneys which may come into her hands belonging to my estate. 2nd - I give and devise to my children one dollar, to each, namely: - Annie F. Higgins, Henry W. Martin, Jr. Edward T. Martin, Rosa L. Faucett, Lena J. Wynn, Sue N. Martin, William D. Martin, Walter T. Martin, Carrie T. Martin, Mary E. Martin and Lillie S.. Midgett. The said one dollar, to each, to be paid by my beloved wife, Julia, out of my estate. 3rd - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Julia J. Martin, what remains of my personal property of every kind after the above has been provided for. 4th - I also give and bequeath to my said beloved wife the tract of land on which I now reside, and all other lands I may own at the time of my death. 5th - My will and desire is that my said beloved wife take immediate possession after my death. Also, she may sell a part or all of the said lands. In witness whereof,I, the said Henry W. Martin, do hereunto set my hand and seal this the 7th day of November, 1913. Henry W. A. Dowtin State of North Carolina Warren County In Superior Court, Before J. R. Rodwell, Clerk In Re Estate of Henry W. Martin, deceased Order for Probate of Will. A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Henry W. Martin, deceased is exhibited in open court for probate by Julia J. Martin, widow of deceased; and the due execution thereof by the said Henry W. Martin, deceased, is duly proven by the oath and examination of E.C. Price and J. A. Dowtin, subscribing witnesses thereto, and it is further shown to the satisfaction of the Court by said witnesses that the said Henry W. Martin was, at the time of making said will of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will and under no restraint to their knowledge, information or belief. It is thereupon considered, adjudged and decreed, that said proof is sufficient and according to law and that said paper writing contains the last Will and Testament of Henry W. Martin, deceased. And on motion is ordered the said Will be admitted to probate and recorded in the Book of Wills of Warren County and as such filed as provided by law in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of said.
