Sarah was the daughter of William "Badge" Williams of Watauga County, NC, and the wife of Moses W. Dyson of Butler, TN. Nora Ann Harbin Williams was the wife of William Harrison Williams, son of William "Badge" Williams. Original spelling retained. The letter was written on stationary from Hotel McAlpin in New York City. Sarah was on her way to France to see her son Don S. William's grave. He had been killed on 16 Oct 1918 during WWI.
