It seems there was a team ahead of the autos , and after the auto ahead got past Mr. MAST tried to drive around; but he got out too far on the soft gravel and crashed down over the embankment. He left Fishtrap on the Coquille river about 25 years ago and has been residing in Pamona, California, ever since. J.F. MAST, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli MAST of North Carolina, was born in North Carolina, September 9, 1851, and died on Friday, June 22, 1923, at the age of 71 years, 9 months, 13 days. He married Mrs. Alia Dugger and she is left to mourn his loss.
