Car. and died Jan. 26, 1934 at her home in Lee, Oregon. Married in Sugar Grove, N. Car. Dec. 23, 1869 to Leason L. Harmon. In April 1872 a party of 65 left North Carolina. The arrived in Douglas Co., Oregon in June 1872. In the fall of 1873 Mr. and Mrs. Harmon and baby daughter, Cora, who later married Rev. R. G. Sumerlin and who was born before they left North Carolina, moved onto the Harmon place at Lee and have lived there since. Of the the party of 65 who came, only Judge R. H. Mast, E. P. Mast, Porter Whittington and the Hayes brothers of Gaylord are living. She was the mother of 6 children, 2 of whom died in infancy and one, Cora Sumerlin, died Jan. II, 1923. Mr. Harmon died in 1891. The deceased raised 3 granddaughters, Mrs. Ina Davis, Lee; Mrs. Carl Anderson, Bald Hill; and Mrs. Herbert Ballin, Portland. Survivors: brother, E. P. Mast, Lee; a son, W. H. Harmon, Lee; 2 daughters, Miss Sadie Harmon, Lee and Mrs. Ruby Clinton, Gravelford. 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. -- Myrtle Point Herald. Jan. 25. 1934
