Mrs. Doris Smith

   Mrs. Pemberton Doris Smith, 83, of Blowing Rock died Thursday, Oct. 15 in 
Broughton Memorial Hospital, Morganton.
   She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Doris S. Attardo, Long Island, N. Y.; 
a son, Phillip H. Smith Jr. of Boone, one sister, Mrs. Emily Bollinger of 
Chase City, Va.; a half-sister, Mrs. Alma Miller of Blowing Rock; one half-
brother, Robert L. Greene of Blowing Rock; and two grandchildren.
   The funeral was held Saturday, October 17 at Kelley Memorial Chapel with 
the Rev. Richard Holshouser officiating.  Burial was in Blowing Rock City 
Cemetery.
