Elizabethton, TN. Carl McKinley Stanbery 83 died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1995. He was 
a native of Watauga County, NC having been born in the Sands community on 
September 17, 1911. He was the son of the late Arthur Orrin and Bertie Louise 
Coffey Stanbery. He was a retired employee of East Tennessee Chair Company. Mr. 
Stanbery was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenna Alice Woodring 
Stanbery; two sisters, Ada Slemp and Edna Fritts, and one brother Orrin Henry 
Stanbery.  He is survived by his second wife, Blanch Sluder Stanbery; Three 
Sons; William Boyd, Cecil Howard and Hubert Arthur Stanbery; Five step 
daughters and three step sons. Two sisters, Josie Hardy, Wilma Campbell; Three 
brothers, Dallas Senter, Wade Charles and Beeler Boyd Stanbery; Six 
grandchildren, 19 step grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be at 
the Memorial Funeral Home and graveside services will be at the Rock Springs 
Cemetery, Butler, Tennessee.
