Winebarger went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Winebarger was a native and life-long resident of the Bristol area and a retired employee of Inter- Mountain and Sprint Telephone Systems with over 43 years of service. He attended Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Susie Winebarger; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Reeter and husband, Mark, of Abingdon; one sister, Grace Sneed of Bristol, and two brothers, Garrett H Winebarger of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert Winebarger of Washington, N.C. Also surviving, are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2003, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Hudson and Brother David Burton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum. Military funeral rites will be conducted by the Highlands Fellowship Church Honor Color Guard. Pallbearers will be Bob Carver, Tony Stout, Bob Blackwell, Ernest Blackwell, Allen Mumpower and Paul Mumpower. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
