She was the daughter of James and Lucretia Farthing, who were born in Boone, Watauga County, as was Emily Ann. All persons in this Obit are now deceased. ------------------------------------------------------------ Mrs. John Wodkins died at her farm home just east of Harrisburg, Wed., Jan. 1, 1938. The funeral was held at the Miller Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Interment was made in the Alford Cemetery. Rev. Robert Boatman officiating. Emily Ann Farthing was born July 15, 1874 in Watauga Co., N.C. She moved close to Ft. Worth, TX. when she was 7 yrs of age. She became a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at age of 9. At 19 yrs. of age, she moved to Okla, where she married John C. Wodkins Aug. 5, 1894. The husband and 5 children survive. The latter are Mich Wodkins of Fallbrook, Ca., Elsie Reams of Costa Mesa, Ca, Dudley of San Juan Capistrano, Ca., George of Gardiner, OR.,and Mabel Hogue of Ada, Or. They Moved to Harrisburg Sept 13, 1934. She is survived also by a brother, Hervey Farthing of Shawnee, OK., and a sister , Mary Houser of Roland, OK and 10 Grandchildren.
