Wayne County, NC - Bibles File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Martha Marble JOHN HARRIS BIBLE Copy of Original Bible Records found at NSDAR Library, Simon Herring Folder. Posted with permission of the DAR. NOTE: The original pages appear to be taped in several places making it almost impossible to read. Only the first page of what actually appears to be a Prayer Book is included and the additional pages may be on lined paper but appear to be old and not a recent transcription. A note on the top of the copy states the James Herring Bible Contents were copied by C. F. Herring, Jr in Dec 1918. I think she meant the Harris Bible contents was copied at that time.
